Employee Health and Wellbeing Roadshow

Assembly Hall at County Hall on Wednesday 12 September, 11am - 2pm

A healthy lifestyle can bring great benefit to us all, and HR is currently encouraging Council employees to take positive steps to improve their wellbeing.

If you’re interested in making lifestyle changes or want to know more about how you can better handle a chronic health issue, then come along to the Assembly Hall at County Hall and talk to the experts.

There will be 17 stands with a wide range of information and expertise available. From stopping smoking and losing weight to dealing with diabetes and taking up healthy exercise, there's something to interest everybody.

Those attending will include:

  • DW Fitness (gym)
  • Rushcliffe Leisure Centre
  • Diabetes UK
  • Asthma UK
  • New Leaf smoking cessation NHS
  • Alcohol abuse & Substance abuse
  • Public Health – looking at infectious diseases and vaccination
  • Food intolerance and nutrition
  • Bowen therapy
  • Sports Development Officer at NCC
  • NCC Occupational Health
  • NCC Health & Safety
  • MIND
  • Osteoporosis screening
  • Welfare rights
  • Biomechanics
  • Healthy Food cookery demonstration.

Employees may attend the event in work time with their managers advance agreement in order to ensure service continuity.

National Local Government Pay Award

The trade unions and employers have recently reached agreement on the national local Government Pay Award.

The agreement includes a one off lump sum payment and a 2.2% pay increase for all eligible employees.
