Briefings for Practice Educators

Have you worked as a Practice Educator supervising social work students in the last couple of years? Have you completed a practice teaching course? If so, you need to attend this briefing.

Practice education is changing. New national standards for Practice Educators have been published and will be implemented from October 2013.

Arrangements are now in place to have existing Practice Educator’s qualifications and experience verified. Currently there are opportunities to achieve the more advanced Practice Educator level at stage two, without the need to complete a University led award.

Want to know more?

A series of one hour briefing sessions will be held across the county. This event is for existing Practice Educators only – past and present. The session will cover the process required to continue to practise as a Practice Educator.

Please apply from Monday via LDS as numbers at some venues are limited.

Further CPD events will be put on for staff wishing to become Practice Educators in the future.

Session dates:

  • 15 November - Meadow House, 12 noon or 2pm
  • 16 November - Retford, 12 noon or 2pm
  • 22 November - Prospect House, 1pm or 3pm
  • 26 November - Sir John Robinson Way, 12 noon or 2pm
